After visiting the Barossa for 10 years and getting the opportunity of working a vintage, Col and Fi Sheppard decided to make the move from Melbourene to the Barossa in 2004. While working his first vintage over in the Barossa, Col found a small old vineyard (consisting of Shiraz, Riesling and a small patch of Semillon) all overlooking Flaxmans Valley. A proven Shiraz and Riesling area with names like Chris Ringland, Pewsey Vale and Heggies as neighbours we knew the vineyard had real potential.
Our wines are made in a traditional style, open fermenters, piggage, basket pressing and the whites are whole bunch pressed;
