The Riesling 2007 - 115 dozen made

was made by Colin Sheppard at Murray Street Winery in Greenock.  The grapes are hand picked and whole bunch pressed.

Tasting notes: -

Pale straw in the glass.  The nose is pure Eden Valley, limes and lemon blossom.  The palate is lime with a flinty mineral backbone and a well

balanced acid driven finish.  Drink over the next 8 or so years.

The Dessert Semillon 2007- 70 dozen made
was made by Colin Sheppard at Murray St vineyards in Greenock. The vines are hand pruned & dry grown. The cordons were severed 3 weeks prior to hand picking and the fruit was chilled prior to the whole bunches being pressed.

Tasting Notes -

Pale gold, the nose is pear with a slight citrus kick.  The palate is pure pear with a little honey and just eh slightest hint of ginger.  Drink over the next 5 years.

The Stranger 2006 - 150 dozen made
was made by Colin Sheppard at Murray St vineyards in Greenock. The Shiraz was purchased from a vineyard on Gomersal Rd in the Barossa while the Cabernet came from Moculta. The blend is 62% Shiraz & 38% Cabernet. The fruit was open fermented and basket pressed. The Shiraz is matured in American Oak, while the Cabernet is matured in French, both for 15 months.  The wine is unfiltered and unfined and benefits from decanting.

Tasting Notes -

Deep & dark with a crimson rim that hangs in the glass.  The nose is a complex mix of red fruits and dark berries with an almost floral lift.  The palate is

milk chocolate, dark berries with a nice touch of oak in the background.  The

soft mouth filling tannins add to the long finish.  The Stranger will stick

around for at least the next 10 years.

The Shiraz 2005  - 120 dozen made (1st Release)
was made by Colin Sheppard at Murray St vineyards in Greenock. The Shiraz is Estate grown and is the first wine made from our own 55+ year old vines which yeilded 1 tonne to the acre.  The Shiraz is matured in seasoned & new French oak for 24 months.  The wine is unfiltered and unfined and benefits from decanting.

Tasting Notes - Impenetrably dark with a purple rim that almost stains the glass.  There’s fruit and spice galore with dark chocolate and iron stone, a dash of oak and so much more.  Great complexity.  This is truly a baby and will continue to improve over the next 15 years.  Just don’t forget to decant it
