The Flaxman journey began when Colin and Fiona made an unexpected decision to buy a vineyard during a 6-week vintage in March 2004. This meant moving from Melbourne to the beautiful Flaxman Valley Barossa, starting new careers, and a new chapter of life.

The vineyard, with Riesling, Shiraz, and Semillon planted since 1929, also sources grapes from Eden Valley and Barossa.  Colin leads wine production, closely managing each step.

With his builder background, Colin has built a welcoming cellar door and an alfresco dining area where guests can enjoy some great food and wine while overlooking the vineyard.

The Flaxman team invites you to visit their Cellar Door and Winery for tastings from Thursday to Saturday (Sundays by appointment). Advance booking is advised due to the small cellar door.

To enjoy the 3-course and 5-course lunch options, 72 hours notice is required.

Located in the stunning Flaxman Valley Barossa, just 10 minutes from Angaston and Tanunda, and an hour from Adelaide, it's a journey worth the scenic route.
