Some vineyard stories start with a dream. Ours started with a builder, a six-week vintage, and one very big secret.
Back in 2004, Colin came to the Barossa for what was meant to be a quick working holiday. Somewhere between the vines and the valley views, he decided to buy a vineyard… without telling his wife. (Don’t worry – Fiona forgave him, eventually.)
Fast-forward to today and that spontaneous decision turned into Flaxman Wines – a place where great wine, good food and a fair bit of laughter all come together.
On this vineyard walk, Colin will take you through the vines and share stories about winemaking, life on the land, and how he survived the ultimate “vine change.” You’ll taste wines right where they’re grown and learn a few behind-the-scenes secrets.

Family & Friends Picking Day
Each year, we warmly invite friends and family to join us for our grape picking days.
We usually only know about a week out when we are going to pick and put the call out for anyone who would care to join us. So if you think your would like to join us, reach out.
We provide the snips, buckets, morning tea, a lite lunch and wine to quench your thirst. It's a great day with lot's of laughter and the occasional shout of "Gus, stop eating the grapes'! We hope to see you in vines next vintage
